Who we are

The artistic manager Mrs. Hamoud bases her designs on her education in Ikebana, a traditional Japanese flower arrangement art. Of course she translates Ikebana to more modern flower arrangements as she has also been trained in the US and Venezuela. But every Unique flower arrangement radiates balance and harmony.

Ikebana
Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement.
The origin of Ikebana may be traced back to remote antiquity where ever-green trees were considered as dwelling place of God. Thanks to the national policy of art promotion, cultural activities such as tea ceremony became popular. As a part of these activities, flowers were displayed. Ikebana is more than simply putting flowers in a container. It is a disciplined art form in which the arrangement is a living thing in which nature and humanity are brought together. It is steeped in the philosophy of developing closeness with nature.

Its heart is the beauty resulting from color combinations, natural shapes, graceful lines, and the meaning latent in the total form of the arrangement. What distinguishes Ikebana from other approaches such as "flower arrangement" is its asymmetrical form and the use of empty space as an essential feature of the composition. A sense of harmony among the materials, the container, and the setting is also crucial.

Mrs. Hamoud has been in love with flowers for over 25 years and still she is never finished talking enthusiastically about the flower decorating art. "Flowers bring life into a room," she says.
